A RARE HUANGHUALI RECESSED LEG TABLE, QIAOTOUAN
Ming Dynasty, 16th/17th and later
The panelled top terminating in everted flanges, above scalloped-edge beaded aprons and leaf-shapes spandrels double mitered and tenoned to elegant, slightly flared 'sword' legs carved with incense-stick moulding under beaded edges and terminating in upturned cloud-scroll feet, joined by pairs of parallel cross braces.
