说明：Cong of the present squat form and celadon stone, with fissures and calcified areas seemingly the result of heat treatment, appear to have been preduced predominantly around northwest China begining in the Neolithic Qijia culture of modern-day Gansu; compare seven examples of various related forms and stone colours uncovered from Qijia sites in Gu Fang, ed., The Complete Collection of Jades Unearthed in China, vol. 15: Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Beijing, 2005, pp 28-34. Also compare a cong of closely related size and colour in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles (accession no. M.89.156.4); and another of slightly squatter proportions from the collection of A. W. Bahr, sold at Christie's New York, 18th March 2009, lot 286.
