As can be seen in the illustrations, each heishi has some surface wear, including some dents, light scratches and some rubbing to the lacquer in places, each with a few small chips and dents around the mouth rim, each with a some slight wear and lacquer losses around the base consistent with being placed, one heishi with a slight crack running from the flared foot to the base (approx. 6 cm.).
