Master of the Rocks School, 1736-1795
Of pear shape with straight mouth rim and small aperture, the long neck set off by carved mock lion mask and ring handles, the russet skin carved to the front with Shoulao standing in a garden dressed in long robes and holding his staff, reversed by a crane and deer sheltered under a majestic pine tree by rocky outcroppings, the russet skin of one side contrasts brilliantly to the rich, yellow green stone, all supported by an oval ring foot.
