The rounded lenticular body with a lightly gold-sprinkled <i>roiro</i> ground partly embellished with <i>mura-nashiji </i>lacquered in slight red and <i>sumi-e</i> <i>togidashi maki-e </i>with a continuous moon-lit scene, the full moon rendered in silver <i>togidashi maki-e</i> on the top case, depicting in silhouette a group of revelers including a man holding a lantern, children, a samurai and other passerbys along the banks of the Sumida river enjoying a firework display, three bats rendered in silver <i>hiramaki-e</i> hovering above, the interior risers of <i>nashiji</i> with red-lacquered floors and ceilings, signed on the base in gold <i>hiramaki-e Koma Koryu</i> with a <i>kao</i>, with an amber <i>ojime</i>.
