A GILT-COPPER REPOUSSÉ FRAGMENT OF A LARGE FIGURE OF AVALOKITESHVARA
Tibet, 15th/16th century
Composed of three heads, each face with a wrathful expression, with eyes wide open beneath furrowed brows and mouths agape, the ears adorned with jewellery, each head crowned with five-leaf tiaras, with traces of pigment, later stand.
34 cm (13 3/8 in.) wide, 30 cm (11 3/4 in.) high (2).
