The splayed foot is similarly decorated with a repeating pattern, while the cover is entirely filled with finely incised geometric designs. Archaic characters are incised on the interior of the cover and on the interior of the base. The entire vessel is enveloped in an attractive deep green patina resulting from prolonged burial.
