说明：太平有象陳設通常成對製作，並多陳設於殿堂之中，寓意祥瑞。象諧音「祥」，象背馱瓶，瓶又與「平」諧音，遂合成「太平有象」之吉祥寓意，象徵天下安寧、四海昇平。
可比較瀋陽故宮博物院藏一對造型幾近相同、惟象背所馱寶瓶樣式有別的例子，著錄於Robert L. Thorp，《Son of Heaven: Imperial Arts of China》，西雅圖，1988年，編號31及32；另可比較英國王室收藏一對相關例，載於John Ayers，《Chinese and Japanese Works of Art in the Collection of Her Majesty the Queen》，卷二，倫敦，2016年，編號2117及2118。
