Overall, the screens are in good condition, most Japanese screens have some restoration by the nature of their use being opened and closed repeatedly, there is some wear around the hinges consistent with age and use, each panel with some areas of paper losses and with associated repairs, some slight marks, some slight wear to the paper surface, the gold and gofun moriage with some surface wear including slight lifting, cracking and some small losses in places with associated touching-in, some wear to the malachite green and blue pigment, some slight wormage, minor old wear to the black lacquer mount, the later backing paper in good condition.
