说明:Feroze Nana Ghulamally, who served as a judge in Karachi in the 1960s, was a passionate amateur archaeologist and a collector of jewellery, embroidery, the clothing of nomadic Sindhi tribes, in addition to Gandharan sculpture.
His time spent living at the ancient city of Sehwan sparked his interest in archaeology. When he returned to Karachi, his reputation as a collector and scholar spread, and anyone who was interested in antiques or the local culture came to visit. The honour roll included Agatha Christie and her archeologist husband, Sir Mortimer Wheeler, and Professor Giuseppe Tucci, together with ambassadors, writers and travelers—the house was rarely without visitors. After retirement, he headed the project for the preservation of Mohenjodaro and served as the first chairman of the Authority for the Preservation of Mohenjodaro, one of the world’s earliest settlements.
