Notes:
The present figure of Bodhisattva Guanyin is carved with realistic facial features, such as the subtle indent of her philtrum and her rounder, fuller cheeks and chin. See a comparable figure, this one of the Water Moon Guanyin, sold at Christie's London, 10 May 2016, lot 27 [link]; and another at Christie's Paris, 12 Jun 2012, lot 292 [link].
