A finely potted Kraak dish with characteristic panelled decoration, painted with crisp outlines in contrasting yet harmonious tones of vibrant underglaze cobalt blue. The central medallion depicts a scholar seated beside a scholar’s desk, upon which are placed a bottle vase and a brushpot. The scene is set within a fenced garden, enlivened by rocks and flowering plants. Soft curling clouds drift across the horizon, with the full moon and stars visible in the distance.
The rim is divided into ten panels, decorated with pomegranates, flowering branches, and auspicious emblems, including a double gourd, books, palm leaves, a fan, and a scroll, all tied with flowing ribbons and tassels. These panels are separated by narrower divisions containing diamond and dot motifs.
The reverse is similarly arranged into ten panels, alternatingly painted with peaches and lingzhi. Closer to the rim are further alternating auspicious symbols, including pearls, mirrors, a rhinoceros horn, and an artemisia leaf.
The central scene and accompanying motifs evoke the ideals of the Chinese literati tradition, celebrating wisdom, learning, longevity, and moral cultivation.
此件克拉克青花盤胎體精細，採用典型的分格開光裝飾。紋飾輪廓清晰，青花發色明麗，濃淡對比鮮明而協調。盤心圓形開光內繪庭院高士圖，一位文士坐於書案旁，案上陳設瓶及筆筒，四周圍欄、山石與花木錯落，天際卷雲舒展，遠處可見明月與繁星。
口沿分為十組大型開光，內繪石榴、折枝花卉及各式吉祥雜寶，包括葫蘆、書冊、蕉葉、扇及書卷，並配以飄帶與流蘇。各大型開光之間以填飾菱形及圓點錦紋的狹長開光相隔。
盤背同樣分為十組開光，內交替繪桃實與靈芝，近口沿處另飾寶珠、銅鏡、犀角及艾葉等吉祥雜寶，彼此相間。
盤心人物與周圍紋飾共同營造出文人書齋清賞的意境，寄託智慧、學問、長壽與修身養德之意。
