Of ovoid form, the shoulders sloping to a short everted neck, with a flat lip and recessed base surrounded by an oval protruding footrim, the swirling orange-brown material with a darker reddish-brown “skin,” forming the lip and mouth, and skillfully carved in low relief to depict nesting magpies and characters in seal script, in a manner resembling glass overlay.
