This cup represents one of the few known types of Shunzhi monochrome. Compare with a near identical one, sold with Christie's, New York, 16 March 2015, Lot 3543. The Christie's cup has an extensive history, being formerly in the collection of the Lord Cunliffe, and also exhibited with Oriental Ceramic Society, London, Ming Porcelain of the Ming and Manchu Dynasties, 27 October-18 December 1948, no. 218. See another cup of this type, illustrated in Stephen Little, , China Institute in America, New York: 1983, pl.47., p.108. Same type of such wares have also 'duck and lotus' decoration.
此杯屬目前所見順治時期單色釉器中較為少見的一類。可參考一件相近例，見佳士得，紐約，2015年3月16日，拍品3543號。該件來源清晰，曾為Lord Cunliffe舊藏，並於1948年10月27日至12月18日於倫敦東方陶瓷學會舉辦之《明及滿清瓷器展》中展出，218號。另可參考同類器一件，見Stephen Little著《Chinese Ceramics of the Transitional Period: 1620–1683》，美國中國研究院，紐約，1983年，圖版47，第108頁。同類器亦見飾有「鴨與蓮」紋樣者。
