Finely embroidered in colored silk threads on a buff silk ground, depicting Amitabha Buddha standing upon a lotus throne beneath an elaborate jeweled canopy, surrounded by an extensive assembly of bodhisattvas, arhats and celestial attendants, the figures symmetrically arranged upon a lotus-filled terrace, above, the heavenly palaces and pavilions of Sukhāvatī float amidst scrolling clouds populated by celestial beings and auspicious emblems, the embroidery further embellished with tiny seed beads, mounted within a glazed wooden frame.
