Modelled in the form of a flowerhead, the petal shaped rim glazed brown, painted with a scene depicting scholars seated on a pavilion terrace, with a further figure and attendant crossing a bridge, all before a landscape of pine, cherry blossom, rockwork and stylised clouds, the exterior with a foliate meander and fuku mark to the base, incised black Johanneum mark N: 467.
