癸卯大寒寫，抱石記。
鈐印：「抱石之印」、「癸卯」。
註：傅抱石晚年好寫高士登高，同一題材反復創作，這類作品往往無關時代風氣，不受現實拘束，惟出自本性之率意天真，本幅即屬其一。構圖承其金剛坡峽江風貌，格局如北宋巨嶂，頂天立地，左下角松蔭遮蔽處，三老著上古衣冠，前呼後應，寄情林壑，乃全畫點睛之筆，令巍峨崇山更添林泉逸趣。一九六三年，畫家數寫此構圖，本幅於尺幅、筆墨，皆屬上乘。山石皴法之處理，極具表現力，人物線條、眉目勾畫謹嚴，既有縱筆揮灑之快意，又見匠心經營之細緻。復題篆書款，古厚渾樸，與山川磅礴氣象兩相輝映。
