Height of each 14 1/2 in., 37 cm.

Overall in good stable condition, free of indentations or enamel loss, with slight surface marks to the the silver mounts, and shelfwear to the underside. One example with a bruise to the mouth rim and resulting fissure in enamel measuring about 3/8 in.. One stand with stress fractures and resulting losses. The box with some soiling.

Each with the baluster body rising to slightly sloping shoulders and a flared mouth, the main panel finely worked in silver wire and colored enamels against a wireless cloisonné ground, one vase depicting Nagoya Castle, the other showing a soldier guarding the entrance of the Third Divisional Barracks in Nagoya, with an inscription "Third Divisional Field Artillery", the underside bearing an Ando Jubei studio mark, raised on a fitted hardwood stands, with original box.
