inscribed with 19 characters, reading Zhong Yinfu zhugui, yong zhaoxi xiangxiao zongshi, qi zizi sunsun yongbaoyong, which may be translated as 'Zhong Yinfu cast this gui, to be used daily to make filial offerings to his ancestors. May his sons and grandsons forever treasure and use it'

说明：To date, ten bronze vessels commissioned by the Yinfu 殷父 family have been recorded. With the exception of an early Western Zhou ding cast by Bo Yinfu 伯殷父—known from a rubbing in the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences—the remaining nine were all cast by Zhong Yinfu 仲殷父 during the late Western Zhou period. This continuous presence spanning the early to late Western Zhou dynasty suggests that the Yinfu clan may have been aristocratic descendants of the Shang royal house. There are currently six known gui vessels commissioned by Zhong Yinfu. While the layout of the characters varies slightly across the group, the content of their inscriptions is identical. In both form and decoration, the present lot closely matches a Zhong Yinfu gui formerly in the esteemed collection of Pan Zuyin and now housed in the Palace Museum, Beijing, strongly indicating that they originally belonged to the same set. 殷父做器有記錄的共十件，除中國社會科學院考古研究所藏拓本之西周早期事婁鼎所載伯殷父外，其餘九件皆為西周晚期之仲殷父所鑄，可知殷父一族時間橫跨西周早期至西周晚期，或為商代王室遺族。見中國社會科學院考古研究所編，《殷周金文集成》，北京，2007年，編號2463、2464、2575及 3964至3970。
其中仲殷父簋存世六件，銘文內容一樣，鋪排略有出入，比較潘祖蔭舊藏，後藏北京故宮之仲殷父簋之形制與紋飾，本件與之當屬一套，見黃濬，《尊古齋所見吉金圖》，北京，1936年，卷2，頁4。
