款識：浮沉湖海詞千首，老去牢騷豈偶然。漫憶縱橫穿敵壘，劇憐容與過江船。美芹藎謀空傳世，京口壯猷只匝年。擾擾魚蝦豪傑盡，放翁同甫共嬋娟。
讀〈稼軒集〉有感，示荒蕪同志，沈雁冰。
鈐印：「茅盾」。

〈故事〉之〈霜葉〉（香港，牛津大學出版社，二〇〇六年七月），頁92-93
上款：「荒蕪」（1916-1995），原名李乃仁，安徽鳳台人，著名作家、翻譯家，北京大學畢業，供職於中國社科院外國文學研究所，翻譯、著述甚豐，與文壇諸多同道交往密切，時獲寫贈，他與茅盾、丁聰、蕭乾等人通信輯〈君子至交〉。
註：本幅書自作〈讀《稼軒集》〉舊體詩，該詩作於一九七三年，茅盾時寫之分贈友人。
書於榮寶齋精製木板水印箋紙，圖為溥儒作山水。
