Nepal, 17th cent.
H. 15,7 cm
Seated in lalitasana on a separate cast lotus base with his right hand resting on his raised right knee, his left hand placed on the base, a pair of lotuses flowering along his upper arms, one supporting the vajra, wearing dhoti, scarf draped around his shoulders, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows that run into his nose-bridge, horizontal ‘third eye’ on his forehead, elongated earlobes with large ear plugs, his hair combed in a chignon secured with a tiara decorated with a pair of pattras and a flaming head halo behind.
