generally good visual condition, flakes to edge of moon, rooster's tail, and tip of red leaf, a few tiny scattered fleabites at extremities, spoon lacking.

Beijing Palace workshops, of flattened ovoid form, the shoulders sloping to a cylindrical neck, with a flat lip and protruding oval footrim, the milk-white body overlaid in very well-carved mottled shades of cranberry, butterscotch, dark blue, light green and light blue, to depict a phoenix beneath the sun and clouds, and a cockerel on a rock pecking at a flower, the narrow sides with mask-and-rings, the footrim also carved from the overlay.
