generally overall good condition, moderate surface wear and soiling, scattered light abrasions, possible flake to end of brush, small nick to edge of foot; scattered small pits to glass.

Of slender attenuated flattened ovoid form, the shoulders sloping to a waisted neck, the lip flat, the flat foot surrounded by a small oval footrim, the opaque white body overlaid in low relief rose pink to depict on one main side a boy on a buffalo, holding on to a flying kite, a bird in the distance and leaves below, with a seal to one side reading “precious trinket,” the reverse with a horse standing under a tree with a male attendant, an inscription above reading Qiulin muma, meaning “Grazing a horse in the Autumn wood,” the narrow sides with mask and mock rings, the footrim and lip rim carved from the overlay.
