说明：Enrobed in an olive-green glazed flecked with a golden-yellow mist, this regal vase embodies the refined aesthetic of the Qianlong court. First produced during the Yongzheng reign as a means to imitate bronze wares, wares glazed in so-called ‘tea-dust’ glazes have become particularly celebrated in Japan for their feeling of antiquity, dappled surfaces and tactile quality.
Compare another closely related vase of this type from a Japanese family collection, sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 26th November 2014, lot 3295; another from the Meiyintang Collection in Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, London, 1994-2010, vol. 2, pl. 936; another in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, illustrated in Rose Kerr, Chinese Ceramics. Porcelain of the Qing Dynasty 1644-1911, London, 1986, pl. 25; and another sold at Christie’s New York, 17th March 2017, lot 1245.
