Overall in very good condition. The leather surfaces throughout present with scattered scratches, scuffs, and abrasions, consistent with age and gentle use. There is minor wear to the edges and corners, including instances of dryness and fine cracking, rubbing to the finish, some stable seam separations and areas of lifting and small losses to the leather, the largest measuring approximately 1 ⅛ in. long, none of which detract from the overall presentation. The leather laminate of the bases and upper rims show light wear and subtle lifting at the corners, which is not visually distracting. The stitching appears original and is intact. One wastepaper basket with a saddle leather interior presents with wear, the other basket with a suede interior presents with heavier wear, commensurate with age and normal use.
