A jar decorated with a flowering prunus tree, a pierced Taihu rock, and a peony blossom in underglaze cobalt blue. The jar is fitted with copper-alloy mounts and a bone cover with an aperture.
The Chinese porcelain vessel was later adapted into a water pipe, most likely for the Vietnamese market. Chinese porcelain was an important export commodity and was frequently altered, mounted, or transformed in its destination markets to accommodate local tastes and domestic practices. This object provides a fascinating example of the continued appreciation, adaptation, and reinterpretation of Chinese porcelain beyond its original function.
罐身以青花繪洞石花卉圖，梅樹自玲瓏太湖石旁斜出，伴以盛放的牡丹。器口及其他部位後配銅合金鑲件，並置帶孔骨質蓋。
此件中國瓷罐後來被改裝為水煙壺，可能供越南市場使用。中國瓷器曾是重要的外銷商品，抵達海外市場後，常依照當地審美及生活習慣加裝金屬配件，或改製為其他用途。此器反映中國瓷器在原有功能之外，於海外持續受到珍視、改造與重新詮釋的歷史。
