Formed in sections, worked in gold-wrapped and polychrome silk threads on an apricot ground with four large forward-facing dragons and two pairs of smaller confronting dragons, all in pursuit of the flaming pearl, amongst scattered Buddhist emblems and ruyi cloud scrolls, bordered at each end with rocks amongst foaming waves and lishui bands, each with five large peony blooms, inscribed and dated to the lining to the reverse, 15th of August in the 5th year of the Daoguang period, corresponding to 1825.
