Generally good condition, a few flea bites to edges of lip; flaw, small flake to side of foot; lacking spoon.

Of flattened circular form, the shoulders sloping to an everted neck, with a flat rimmed lip and protruding oval foootrim, the opaque white body decorated with a dark pink overlay, very finely carved to depict on one main side an immortal riding a crane above scholarly items, a gourd, and a fly whisk, with an oval seal reading yan nian (‘prolonged life”), the reverse with a long-tailed bird atop a long flowering prunus branch, bats and fruits below, with a four-character mark in seal script, reading yi jie mei shou (“best wishes for longevity”), the lip rim and footrim also carved from the overlay.
