Late Qing Dynasty/Republic Period
Of flattened baluster form rising from a spreading foot, the body deftly carved in low relief with two five-clawed dragons in pursuit of the flaming pearl above crashing waves and amidst scallop-shaped clouds, the neck flanked by a pair of mythical beast-head handles issuing loop handles suspending loose rings, the cover surmounted by a Buddhist lion finial, the stone of translucent bluish-grey tone with frosty inclusions, wood stand. 18.5cm (7 1/4in) high.
