China, probably Ming dynasty
H. 24,5 cm
Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with both hands placed in front of his chest in the dharmachakramudra holding stems of lotuses flowering along his upper arms supporting the sword and manuscript, wearing dhoti, cape draped around his shoulders, its streamers encircling both arms with their finials falling down on the base, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, raised urna adorning his forehead, elongated earlobes with ear ornaments, his hair combed in a chignon topped with a ratna secured with a tiara set to its reverse with a red coral bead and ornamented with a pair of pattras and floating ribbons, resealed.
