Fitted with a pair of single-panel doors centered on a vertical stile, the cabinet open to reveal shelved interior, the doors finely carved in high relief with two pairs of four-clawed dragons each pursuing a flaming pearl amidst swirling clouds, the hat chest doors, side panels and the lower horizontal panel similarly decorated, each compartment fitted with cloisonné enamel lock plates, hinges, and feet inserts.

Miniature cabinets such as the present lot closely follow the form and construction of full-sized furniture and were likely intended for intimate display. The use of cloisonné enamel fittings, an unusual and particularly luxurious feature, further distinguishes the present example. Compare a pair of miniature 'dragon' compound cabinets, sold at Christie's New York, 27 March 2026, lot 851. See also an 18th-century cabinet in the Liang Yi Collection, similarly conceived with densely carved pictorial panels to the doors, illustrated in Curtis Evarts, , Hong Kong, 2007, no. 37, pp. 106–107.
