Sir Charles Lloyd Jones (1878 to 1958) was an Australian businessman and patron of the arts, serving as Chairman of David Jones from 1920 until his death in 1958. A trained painter himself, he studied at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney and then the Slade School of Fine Art in London. He went on to shape Sydney's art scene: he was a co-founder of the magazine Art in Australia in 1916, and he established the David Jones Art Gallery in the Elizabeth Street store in 1944. He was also a committed supporter of William Dobell, and the gallery's first exhibition was devoted to him. He was knighted in the 1951 New Year's Honours. His collection was later offered as The Lloyd Jones' Collection, James R. Lawson, Sydney, 9 April 1981.
Charles Lloyd Jones 爵士（1878-1958）為澳洲商人及藝術贊助人，自1920年起出任 David Jones 百貨公司主席，直至1958年辭世。他本身亦習畫，曾先後就讀於悉尼 Julian Ashton 藝術學校及倫敦斯萊德美術學院。他對悉尼藝術界影響深遠：1916年與人共同創辦《Art in Australia》雜誌，1944年於伊莉莎白街分店設立 David Jones 藝廊。他長期支持畫家 William Dobell，藝廊首展即為 Dobell 個展。1951年新年授勳時獲封爵士。其收藏其後由悉尼 James R. Lawson 拍賣行以「The Lloyd Jones' Collection」專場拍出，時為1981年4月9日。
