说明：本盌殊為別致，以栗褐、赭黃諸色細膩描繪木質紋理，幾可亂真，充分體現乾隆時期匠師高超的製瓷技藝。據耿寶昌指出，此式盌撇口、淺直壁、內凹底，造型或取法藏傳佛教喇嘛所用的木製缽盂；參見耿寶昌，《明清瓷器鑑定：清代部分》，臺北，1984年，頁111。
仿木紋釉盌曾見於乾隆皇帝御製詩詠，其內壁裝飾形式不一，或繪粉彩花卉，或施金彩。可比較一件內壁施金彩的同類盌，載於前述著作，圖149；另一件於香港蘇富比1988年11月16日拍賣，編號401；另有尤莫弗普勒斯舊藏一例，形制相近，惟口沿外撇，內壁施銀彩，現藏倫敦大英博物館（編號1937,0716.131），著錄於R. L. Hobson，《The George Eumorfopoulos Collection: Catalogue of Chinese, Corean and Persian Pottery and Porcelain》，卷五，倫敦，1926年，圖版LXXI，編號E440。
