Late Qing Dynasty
Naturalistically carved from a single piece of wood as a section of a tree trunk with knotty nodules and recesses, with irregular markings indicating bark, the wood a rich dark colour with small areas of gold flecks, the surface polished to a soft glow.
29.5 cm (11 5/8 in.) high, weighing approximately 9 kg
