A SMALL GOLD-SPLASHED BRONZE CENSER
17th/18th century
Of square shape raised on four corner supports, the flared sides tapering to a flat base, set with a pair of angular, slightly curved loop handles, the exterior covered with irregular splashes of gold contrasting with the reddish-brown patina, the base cast with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark within a recessed rectangular cartouche, wood cover.
9.4 cm (3 5/8 in.) wide across handles (2).
