Comprising: a ruyi-form mother-of-pearl inlaid lacquer box decorated to each side with a phoenix in flight amongst scattered clouds on a gilt ground; a rectangular silver box with hinged cover decorated with a panel of figures in a garden; and a blue-glazed circular box and cover decorated in coloured enamels with a bird perched in branches of blossoming prunus tree.
The mother-of-pearl inlaid box 8cm (3 1/8in) wide. (6).

Noted in a valuation conducted by Robert Kleiner in 1988, stating it was acquired in Jinan (Tsinanfu) in 1928 (blue-enamelled circular box); with silver and lacquer boxes also noted in the 1988 valuation
