Distemper on cloth, the centre painted with Vaishravana, riding a lion and holding the pole of a victory banner in the right hand, and a mongoose in the left, sitting above a white lotus, surrounded on the sides and in the lower foreground by eight horsemen scattering precious jewels.

Jeremy Mason is a noted bibliophile and dealer in Chinese and Japanese art who started his career at Christie's in the late 1960s, particularly known for his collection of Oscar Wilde books and ephemera, sold by Bonhams London in February 2026. His Chinese art collection was housed in his 18th century townhouse, Hoyle's House, London, some pieces for the last 50 years.
