One brass foot lacking. One pierced panel with a horizontal crack, not affecting the overall appearance. Minor surface wear and scratches throughout, consistent with age and use. The inlay is complete throughout.

Each narrow panel encloses small rectangular panels centered by a large shaped medallion surrounded by an openwork ground carved with chilong amidst floral scrolls, the shaped panels are inlaid with soapstone and bone depicting figures on one side and various 'antiques' and scholar's objects on the other. The two end panels have outer borders of three stacked medallions also carved with figures and antiques against an openwork ground. The vertical uprights are of square section joined by openwork aprons carved with confronting chilong, and fitted into metal shoes.
