十八/十九世紀 白玉象
The elephant is an auspicious symbol associated with peace, wisdom, strength, and good governance. Because the word for elephant (xiang 象) is a homophone for 'auspiciousness' or 'appearance' in certain contexts and appears in numerous auspicious rebuses, elephant-shaped pendants were often worn as talismans to convey blessings for good fortune, stability, and prosperity.
