Wear and oxidation to surfaces, wear to inlays and gilding.

Of rectangular form raised on angular feet, loose ring handles to the sides, the slightly domed cover with angular finial, all with applied shaped bosses and panels, various inlaid with fret diaper, auspicious motifs and symbols; parcel-gilt bats at the rim.
Note:
The present vessel relates to several unusual wrought pieced iron vessels, some inlaid with Wanli reign marks, which are assembled of various wrought iron elements and inlaid with various motifs in silver and gold. Such vessels are attributed to makers in the Kham region in the border between Tibet and Western China.
