Comprising: a red-ground panel embroidered with cockerels and chicks amidst polychrome flowers and tree branches, bordered by green tassels; a large blue-ground panel depicting flowers, rockwork, bamboo and pine trees; a pair of panels decorated with birds surrounded by prunus flower in Peking stitch against scrolling foliage in gold threads; a pair of panels embroidered with birds and lotus flowers on a beige ground; a panel depicting a peacock and pomegranates; a blue-ground panel finely embroidered with butterflies and flowers in couched-gold threads; a blue-ground panel with butterflies and flowers; four blue-ground panels each embroidered in Peking stitch with a butterfly among flowers; a pair of embroidered beige-ground sleeve bands; two purple-ground figural sleeve bands.
The largest 256.5cm (101in) high x 29cm (11 3/8in) wide. (17).
