The elegant and unsusual triple-gourd vase is finely painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a dragon striding amongst flames above a rocky landscape. The dragon winds around the compressed globular upper body and continues onto the tall neck, its scales, flowing mane and animated features rendered with the vigorous brushwork. Stylised cloud scrolls encircle the stepped gourd-form foot, echoing the celestial setting of the principal decoration.
The vase is of finely potted triple-gourd form with a tall cylindrical neck and a neatly finished recessed base enclosed by an unglazed foot rim.
此瓶造型秀雅別致，胎質細緻，作三節葫蘆形，上接高直筒頸，以釉下青花描繪蒼龍騰躍於山石火焰之間。龍身自扁圓形上腹盤繞而上，延伸至修長瓶頸，鱗片、飛揚鬃髮及生動神態皆以遒勁筆觸繪成，氣勢奔放。下部層疊式葫蘆形足環繪如意雲紋，與主體龍紋的雲天意境相互呼應。底部內凹，修足規整，足圈露胎。
